New flashmob: in India women are photographed in the mask of a cow

It is a kind of protest against rape.

Photo 23-year-old Indian photographer Sugata gosh, devoted to protest against rape and the growing influence of folk blithely for the protection of cows “blew up” social networks and caused a fury of Internet trolls. Some even went to the Delhi police asking to arrest the photographer, accusing him of fomenting unrest.

Since coming to power in India of the far-right nationalist party cows began to be more guarded. In some States they are not allowed to score, and against violating the ban imposed severe punishment. Now the Parliament is considering a law on the death penalty for killing this sacred animal. Over the past two years in India in the name of the cows were killed about 10 people, and often the victims are chosen on the basis of rumors.

Ghosh calls it “a dangerous mixture of religion and politics” and hoped that this project will be a silent protest to change the situation. Despite the threats, to surrender the photographer is not planning.
