New cyber attack in Ukraine: the virus is spread through Word documents

Ukrainians are asked to be vigilant.

On the Ukrainian Internet mass circulate the infected Word files.

It is noted that after cyberattacks October 19-25, hackers massively sent to Ukraine infected files in the format *.doc. During these cyber attacks were involved, CVE-2017-11292.

The infected files were sent using emails, and to download the viral code was used DDE. Loading occurs in several stages, the results of which starts CerberLocky Ransomware.

Recall that the virus is “Evil rabbit” October 24, attacked a number of Ukrainian and Russian companies, agencies and the media. Among the victims, according to “Kaspersky Lab” and Group-IB, was the Russian Agency “Interfax”, the news portal “Fontanka”, the website of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, computer systems of the Kiev metro, Odessa international airport, the offices of Novus stores. The Bad Rabbit virus could spread because of the system of procurement ProZorro.
