The main character of the first film, Kirsty, gets to the hospital, where is suffering from the realization that her father was a prisoner of an infernal world. Meanwhile, the chief doctor of the hospital, Dr. Channard, wants to use the ill-fated box to open a portal to the dimension Cenobites. Killing patients, he raises the dead Kirsty’s stepmother, Julia, and together they intend to set their own rules in hell. And just where are you able to prevent them from doing – with the help of one of the patients of the hospital, was studying a beautifully complex puzzle.
The second series of the franchise on the “sadomasochist from beyond” delivered the editor of the first part of Tony Randall , with the blessing of the author of the original story and directed the film adaptation of Clive Barker. For example, it is unclear – why is Kirsty so sure that Julia will be able to be reborn from the bloody stains on the mattress? The number of such “mistakes” is growing rapidly in literally every five minutes of viewing. And the horror here to catch far less creative way than in the original, and about any ambiguity and about any subtext may not be considered. The second part was on the dangerous verge of becoming a banal Thriller with a caricature villain, but successful discoveries relating to the common mythology, after all, beat it into a positive definition of a successful sequel. Randall was not out to dig in its heels to catch up and overtake a movie masterpiece Barker, but instead suggested many avenues for further development of the series – not without sagging, but bright and fun.
