The new law requires total control over the citizens of Russia.
The Ministry of communications and mass communications of Russia has published for public comment a draft order on the obligatory requirements for equipment and data required of the FSB for carrying out operational search actions.
Requirements refer to “organizers of information distribution”, entered in the special register of the Ministry of communications of the Russian Federation. Among them – “Vkontakte”, “Odnoklassniki”, “Yandex”, “Rambler”, Mail.ru and Telegram.
According to the “Spring package” from 1 July 2018, these companies for at least six months will have to keep all correspondence and calls user reminds Meduza.
The publication gives a list of personal user data that can be transmitted to security services.
