Netanyahu congratulated with the birthday of Russian President Vladimir Putin

Prime Minister and defense Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke by phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin and congratulated him on his birthday.

President Putin, in his turn congratulated the Prime Minister a happy New year and asked to convey his greetings to the people of Israel.

Speaking at the celebratory event for employees of the Prime Minister, the Prime Minister said:

“I had an important conversation with President of Russia Vladimir Putin. I met him a few weeks ago and discussed issues important to the security of Israel. This conversation is also important for Israel’s security. The real threat around us, but we are satisfied with cooperation and coordination with Russia. It is very important to us and we will continue to work on it.”
