Talks in Normandy format (Ukraine, Russia, Nimechchyna, France) to resolve the conflict in the Donbas suspended its work.
This was announced by the representative of Ukraine in the humanitarian sub-group of the trilateral contact group on the conflict in the Donbass Irina Gerashchenko in Facebook.
She explained the pause of the electoral processes in France and Germany.
“Germany is entering a period of elections which will be held in September. In France in the coming months, only to form a new Cabinet of the newly elected President and they will have no foreign policy, at least not until the Donbass”, – she wrote.
According to her, in the US “as still forming structures that are responsible for certain directions of foreign policy.”
“Putin uses it all, so the “Normandy format” actually delivered on a certain pause, and this directly affects the Minsk format (Ukraine, Russia, OSCE – ed.) is derived from Norman. It seems that the issues that we are trying to solve for a long time in Minsk and which are blocked, yet remain in the same condition,” she added.
