About a hundred of Empress tree as seedlings (Paulownia Clone In Vitro 112) planted in abandoned villages Paryshev, illinets’ka Rudnya, Kopachi and the city of Chernobyl.
The purpose of this research experiment to study the effect of this type of tree on background radiation in the exclusion zone. It is known that five years later, the Paulownia reaches an average height of 20 meters and faster than other trees absorbs radionuclides.
