The Director of KP “the bila Tserkva cargo aviation complex” Sergey Kandaurov said the company plans to create an international airport.
“I hope that the airport will soon be the airport. On Friday, the Ministry of infrastructure held a meeting where the prospects of development of aviation in Ukraine. In particular, it was presented pre-feasibility study (preliminary feasibility study) of creation of multimodal transport knot in the White Church. The presence of highways, Railways and airport makes this node very promising for cargo handling and so on,” said Kandaurov.
Due to its proximity with customs post “White Church”, Kandaurov appealed to the Cabinet with the request to open checkpoint across the border at the airport that will enable the company to develop the airport.
“Technical features of our runway allows to accept planes “the Boeing”. Every year Belotserkovsky district from abroad to fly more than 218 thousand people in one direction, the same in another. Single (daily) flight “Boeing 737″ is 120 thousand passengers per year and 1,000 tons of cargo. Hope project (the creation of the airport) will move in the next year or two”, – summed up the Director of the future of the airport.
We will remind, “the bila Tserkva cargo aviation complex” was created in 2000 on the basis of “bilotserkivs’kyi aircraft repair plant” and the military airfield of the Ministry of defense of Ukraine.
Yet, in the aviation complex includes the airfield, industrial site, two hangars and industrial premises. The approximate investment in the project amounts to €52 million.
