International championship in medieval combat will gather participants from 10 countries.
The participants from all over Ukraine and from Denmark, Israel, Germany, Norway, Slovakia, Moldova, Belarus, Russia and other countries will demonstrate their strength and courage, knightly honour and valour.
September 15-17 Ancient Kyiv in the Principality “Kyivska Rus” invites you to a Grand sports event – the international championship of medieval battle “Call of heroes”. About 10 participating countries, more than 400 participants, 3 days of spectacular fights. It is the largest in Ukraine and one of the largest in Europe international championship, which organizes the all-Ukrainian Federation of medieval battle.
The participants from all over Ukraine and from Denmark, Israel, Germany, Norway, Slovakia, Moldova, Belarus, Russia and other countries will demonstrate their strength and courage, knightly honour and valour. They will be dressed in the same armor that was worn by the soldiers during the middle Ages, and will fight in the same arms – real swords, halberds, falcioni.
It will not be staged fights, but real medieval battles, in which athletes during uncompromising struggles to figure out who among them is worthy of the title champion of medieval battle in 2017. Recall that medieval battle in Ukraine is recognized as a non-Olympic sport.
Competitions will be held simultaneously at several sites. You will see a group nomination 16×16, 10×10, 5×5, 3×3, as well as single fights. The fights will take place among men, and among the beautiful half girls. For the first time in the championship will be held children’s tournament in the category of “Soft” (fighting in padded armor), which when pre-registration will be open to all interested children aged 6 to 17 years.
A feature of the festival is also an opportunity for each guest to see and congratulate the members of the national team of Ukraine, won this year’s victory at the world Championships in Spain and Denmark.
The competition will run for three days. And in between battles guests of the Principality “Kyivska Rus” will amaze with their performances horse stunt theatre of Ancient Kiev, as well as games, flash mobs, interactive with guests.
