31 Aug 2015, four national guard soldiers were killed outside Parliament in the riots.
Events in memory of the fallen in 2015, the soldiers of the National guard of Ukraine took place on Thursday, August 31, on Constitution square outside the Verkhovna Rada – on the wall of the Parliament building at the place where killing 4 fighters of the national guard, unveiled a commemorative plaque.
A commemorative plaque was consecrated by the priests of the UOC-KP, they also sent Requiem. The event was attended by Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy, interior Minister Arsen Avakov, commander of the National guard Yuriy Allenov, national guardsmen, and relatives of the victims.
“We decided… that it would be right and fair to continue the oath of the national guard took here, in this place, on the square in front of the Verkhovna Rada”, – said Avakov.
He recalled that on 31 August 2015 during the protest were also injured 120 people, four of them died: Bogdan Datsyuk, Ihor Debryn, Alexander Kostin, Dmitry Slastnikov.
The Minister said that injured civilians and police, but suffered the soldiers of the national guard.
“I want every politician who organize such events, remembered about it and carried the political responsibility, and not (only – Ed.) political and human,” added the Minister.
