In relation to the head of the SFS, having a British passport, has launched a criminal check.
UK checks against the dismissed head of the State fiscal service of Ukraine Roman Nasirov, to establish whether he committed criminal offences. If confirmed, he could face British justice.
This was announced by the British Embassy in Ukraine.
“We are deeply concerned about the recent decision of Solomenskiy district court of Kyiv, where the evidence provided by the UK as part of the case against Roman Nasirov was declared inadmissible and rejected. At this stage, the responsible authorities in the UK will examine all facts to determine whether there was criminal wrongdoing on the part of the British citizen, who can stand trial in the United Kingdom,” – said in the message.
Recall, the National anti-corruption Bureau and the Specialized anticorruption Prosecutor’s office requested the Solomensky district court to recover to the state budget 100 million hryvnia Deposit for Nasirova, because the head of the SFS has not fulfilled the requirement to pass a British passport. The court the petition was denied.
Nasirov called the falsified documents presented to the NEB in court about the presence of his British passport. But the British Embassy in Kiev has confirmed that the Novel Nasirova was issued a British passport.
