NASA has shown an unusual shot of a “thread of pearls” on Jupiter

The picture was taken at a distance of 33.4 thousand kilometers from the planet’s surface.

NASA presented the image, which you can see dark and light strips of hurricanes on Jupiter.

Three light oval hurricane, located in the upper part of the image, known as the “string of pearls”. Each of the hurricanes wider than the Earth and rotates at speeds of hundreds of kilometers per hour. The lighter regions are areas in which the gas rises, and low, where fall.

The picture was taken by the “Juno” at the distance of 33.4 thousand kilometers from the surface of Jupiter.

“Juno” was launched on 5 August 2011 from Cape Canaveral, it is part of the program, New Frontiers . To “Juno” on the orbit of Jupiter worked the Galileo probe, but “Juno” was the first in history to make a flyby of the planet through its pole. The unit arrived at the orbit of Jupiter in July of last year.
