Camera Kepler consisted of 42 image sensors.
NASA has published images that the telescope “Kepler” made before the end of its mission.
Space telescope NASA “Kepler” sent its last signal on 30 October 2018. It was planned that the mission will last 3.5 years, but the telescope worked for 9 years, 7 months and 23 days, revolutionizing our understanding of exoplanets. The first image of the “Kepler” was filmed on 8 April 2009. The latest space telescope (“the last light”) was received on 25 September 2018.
Camera Kepler consisted of 42 image sensors charge-coupled device (CCD), each with a resolution of 1024×2200 pixels. Empty squares in the rendered image are consequences of the problem when the CCD was out of order for many years.
The last observation campaign “Kepler”, took place in the direction of the constellation of Aquarius. In all the years of his work in earth orbit Kepler watched stars 506 530 and found 2662 exoplanets.
Astronomers will use the data that the telescope has provided for many years.
