The main prize was taken away by the painting by famous Mexican Director
Jury 74-th Venice film festival decided on the film that won the main award.
As reported on the page of the festival, the best film recognized a fantastic drama “Form of water” by Mexican Director Guillermo del Toro.
The Golden lion the Director gave the jury headed by its Chairman, the American actress Annette Bening.
“Form of water” was recognized by critics as one of the most successful works of del Toro. The main character – the dumb cleaning woman in a scientific laboratory – falls in love and helps escape-man.
Grand Prix of the jury awarded the Israeli drama “Foxtrot” Samuel Maosa, who won the Golden lion in 2009.

The prize for best Director “Silver lion” went to Frenchman Xavier Legrand for the film “Custody”.
