Security experts from Kryptowire found 47 bugs in the firmware and apps popular Android smartphones.
Gaps in the system, there are at least 25 models, experts say. Part of the found vulnerabilities can lead to failures that allow attackers to gain root-access device. The most dangerous errors have given hackers the ability to send SMS with a jailbroken phone, take snapshots and video from screen, remove the user’s contact list and install any programs.
Errors were found in budget devices companies in Vivo, SKY, Plum, Orbic, Oppo, MXQ, Leagoo, Doogee, and Zopo. In addition, the expert found the dangerous vulnerability in smartphone the more well-known brands: for example, LG G6, Sony Xperia L1, Nokia and ASUS ZenFone 6 3 Max.
“In the market there are hundreds of mobile phone models and thousands of versions of firmware, therefore no tests and evaluations are done manually, can not fully solve the problem to identify vulnerabilities in the preinstalled apps and the IOS mobile phone”, – explained the CEO Kryptowire Angelos Stavrou (Angelos Stavrou).
Earlier it became known that hackers have learned to steal Bank details of the user by means of hacking routers. The attackers redirected victims to fake websites of financial institutions where the users entered their data.
