German Autobild compiled a list of the most reliable crossovers
German publication Autobild carried out an extensive study to determine the most reliable modern crossovers.
Trials lasted from 2001 to the end of each car was literally disassembled to the last screw. The most reliable of all tested “SUV” was the KIA Sportage and Volvo XC60 – the total number of breakdowns and the problematic issues was less than ten for two. The most serious of them was the wear of the rear brake pads at the Swedish crossover. Closes the three leaders of Hyundai Tucson, followed by ties for fourth place Mazda CX-5 and Suzuki SX4 S-Cross. In total, the rating was 12 cars. Place from the 6th-12th, took the Peugeot 2008, Nissan Qashqai, MINI Countryman, Ford Kuga, Citroen C4 Cactus, Audi Q3 and Subaru XV.
On average, each participant drove about 100,000 km, and not all have proved to be as good as the leaders of the competition. For example, occupy the last place in the rating of the Subaru XV was unpleasantly surprised by the large number of problems like prematurely worn clutch, corrosion of chassis parts and a huge number of ever increasing noise. The car is numbered 44 problems.
