The most common female name in the world in 2017 was the name of Sofia. To such conclusion came the Creator of the site babynamewizard.com Laura Wattenberg.
Wattenberg analyzed data about the names of newborns in 48 States. She found that this name leader in Ukraine, Russia, Italy, Switzerland, Slovenia, Mexico, Estonia, Argentina and Chile.
“I was just amazed that people of different cultures, speaking different languages, chosen at the same time one and the same sounding name,” admitted Wattenberg.
In Ukraine in the eight of the most popular this year women were Sophia, Maria, Zlata, Anna, Ekaterina, Anastasia, Eva, Daria.
