Public organization “Center of development of the city” has made a rating of the most dangerous pedestrian crossings of the capital.
“Industrial zones where traffic is not intense and few pedestrians we are not very interested. Focused on transitions in densely populated areas with heavy traffic”, — said the activist of the organization Fedor Gubankov.
According to him, the evaluation criteria were the opinions of local residents, condition of road markings (“Zebra”) and asphalt pavement, illumination of crossings in the dark time of the day (depends on how well drivers can see pedestrians).
In each of the districts of Kiev, the activists identified the following number of dangerous transitions:
