Ukraine got into the list of cheapest countries of the world.
Ukraine made the list for the cheapest countries to live according to the American portal GoBankingRates, finishing in 24th place in the ranking.
The study took into account several factors: the index of purchasing power, the level of rents in the consumer basket and the cost of local services.
Analysts compared each parameter with the same index in new York. Thus, the purchasing power of Ukrainians by 71.9% below the purchasing power of the people of new York.
Rent in Ukraine are lower at 91.1 percent. Food and services are cheaper by 70%.
“Incomes of Ukrainians are still low, from which the country got in the list of the 50 cheapest. Residents of the capital, Kiev, forced to spend about $ 325 per month per person, with the exception of rent,” the study says.
The cheapest countries are South Africa and India. Poland was on the 12th place. Russia is at the 39th, Belarus at the 50th.
