Named the best trucks in 2018

Lyon was awarded the prize.

Declared the best international truck of the year 2018. The most prestigious award of the European industry of production of freight cars was awarded to the President of DAF Trucks Preston Feith, the Chairman of the jury, Gianrico of Griffin at the exhibition Solutrans in Lyon.

New DAF CF and XF series are equipped with brand new powertrains with highly efficient transmissions and rear axles. Along with the new compact systems additional processing exhaust gases, an integrated software and improved aerodynamics, these innovations lead to improved fuel efficiency and a significant reduction in CO2 emissions (7%). For specialized configurations, the new trucks mass reduction amounted to 300 kg, which allows the owner to further increase the profitability of transportation.

A new standard in overall efficiency

“The annual award is given to new vehicle or model line that has made the most significant contribution to improving the efficiency of cargo transportation, according to several important criteria, including technological innovation, driver comfort, road safety, fuel efficiency, environmental footprint and total cost of ownership”, — says Gianrico of Griffin, the Chairman of the jury. “With the emergence of new models CF and XF DAF has set new standards of efficiency powertrain, and overall efficiency for medium and heavy trucks”.
