Neurologists from the United States shared information about what foods necessary in the diet to stimulate intellectual activity.
In spite of all the diet plants, experts said: the good work of the brain provides only a high fat meal.
A study conducted at the University of Illinois, showed that people who demonstrated a high level of monounsaturated fatty acids in the blood, have a more harmonized dorsal system in the brain that makes their cognitive abilities are more significant. The scientists explained that intelligence is closely associated with the dorsal system, which is essential to perform an action that requires human attention and concentration.
“The General level of intelligence was determined by how well structured and effective this system”, – said the expert.
The level of monounsaturated fatty acids in the blood depends primarily on human nutrition. In the study of higher intellectual abilities were noticed in those people who ate a lot of foods that contain healthy fats. In particular, these were fans of olive oil, nuts, avocado. The contained fatty acids can significantly affect the mental abilities, the researchers noted.
“The General level of intelligence was determined by the effectiveness of the dorsal network. Monounsaturated fatty acids were in close contact with the dorsal attention system and how well it works,” elaborated the draft co-author Aaron Barbie.
