On average, Ukrainians spend on food 3,649 USD per month.
The state statistics service published data of sample survey of living conditions of households in Ukraine in IV quarter of 2018. About it reports a press-service of the state statistics.
According to the statistical Agency, polled 8051 economy. The average equivalent household size is 2.11 people.
Data show that an average household spends on food 3649 UAH per month. The greatest article is meat and meat products — by 23.3% or UAH 850 per month. Significant are the costs of bread and bakery products — of 16.5% or UAH 599. Next are milk, cheese and eggs (13.6% of ADB 496 UAH per month).
For vegetables, including potatoes, Ukrainians pay 6.7%, or UAH 245. Fat household spends 2.2% or 82 UAH per month.
According to state statistics, average monthly expenditure per household in the fourth quarter of 2018 was 7854 UAH per month.
As reported, in April consumer prices in comparison with March increased by 1%. Since the beginning of the year, prices in Ukraine increased by 3.4%. While in annual terms (by April 2018) inflation accelerated to 8.8%.
