The country needs a system of video fixing of infringements of traffic regulations.
The main problem with killers on the roads are not in bad terms or small fines, and in the absence of inevitability of punishment.
This opinion was expressed by automotive expert Raul Chilachava.
“If now is the certainty of punishment in the form of a video recording, also in Kiev, with the existing fines, we would improve the traffic situation, and at times. We would have reduced not only mortality but also the total number of accidents. Moreover, the reform of the video recording in a month would pay for itself,” says Raul Chilachava.
With an expert also agree the President of the Association of road safety Michael Berlin.
“Video recording is very real and powerful tool. If the driver knew (the accident, which happened on October 18 in the center of Kharkov – approx. “Apostrophes”) that it flies at high speed at a red light and it’s all fixed cameras, and the information goes into a data center, clearly defined and specific number of violations, it would have received in the mail a receipt for payment of the fine. But in order for all of this work should be efficiently worked out the database, but it is of poor quality, for example, on the streets goes a huge number of cars with the Baltic rooms, and if a car like that, it never was”, – said Mikhail Berlin.
As the Director of the legal company “prima group Leader” Dean Drugakov comments, “Apostrophes”, victims of a traffic accident in Kharkov should definitely go to court.
“People can expect to receive compensation for property costs and moral damages. The moral costs of the victims themselves determine, and the court will decide whether to satisfy the full amount required. But personally, in my practice more than 250 thousand hryvnia was not” – said Drugakov.
