Premium brand Genesis has headed a rating of the quality of new cars (IQS, Initial Quality Study) among all automotive brands in the U.S. market.
The results of the study 2018 was published today by the Agency of marketing information, J. D. Power. The result this year was a step forward compared to 2017, when Genesis in the first year of their participation in the study topped the rating among the premium brands in the overall ranking took second place. In a study of 2018 participated 31 brand, including premium 13.
Luxury flagship Genesis sedan G90 also took first place in the ranking of quality in the segment of “Large premium car”.
“The result of the research this year confirms the fact that Genesis is the best brand for the level of quality that reflects our commitment to leadership and desire to win the trust of customers, – said the Executive Vice President and head of brand Genesis Manfred Fitzgerald. – Genesis will continue to create cars that combine advanced technology with a high level of quality and safety-elegant design – all that is so important to our customers.”
The IQS study, which was conducted this year for the 32nd time, performs the functions of the exemplary comparison of the new products for the entire automotive industry. Quality rating IQS-2018 for the US market based on the estimated 75 712 respondents – buyers and lessees of new vehicles for the 2018 model year. The survey was conducted after three months of operation of the vehicle.
The questionnaire of the study consists of 233 points, and participating in the rating model is divided into 8 categories. According to the survey, manufacturers receive information, greatly facilitating the search of problems related to quality and the further development of the products.
In addition, the 2017 Genesis topped the ranking of IQS among premium brands, and took second place in the overall ranking, the brand also became the second in the premium segment in ranking APEAL (Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout – Characteristics, quality and layout of the car), compiled by J. D. Power for the U.S. market.
