Naftogaz of Ukraine predicts an operating deficit next year at $ 45 billion. The Chairman of the Board of state-owned Andriy KOBOLEV said today, October 22.
He said that this figure is the deficit of Naftogaz, calculated on methodology of the International monetary Fund.
“The question of gazobeton discussed with the IMF. If nothing change, then the operating deficit from their defaults in the next year is expected to be $ 45 billion UAH”, – said Kobolyev.
Chief Executive officer of the group Yuriy Vitrenko added that in 2019, the Naftogaz needs to pay 15 billion UAH debts.
Friday, 19 October, the international monetary Fund and the Ukrainian authorities agreed to a new 14-month Stand-By program (SBA).
The amount SBA will be 2.8 billion SDR (equivalent to us $3.9 billion).
Earlier in the day it became known that the government will raise gas prices for households by 23.5% from 1 November. The current program for increased funding of the IMF was required to raise prices by 60%, but these requirements have been reviewed, said Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman.
