The head of Rolls-Royce was not very happy to hear criticism.

At the motor show in Geneva, the chief designer at Aston Martin Marek Reichman, called the Rolls-Royce “ancient Greece” of the luxury car segment.
Reichman is sure that the world has changed, but Rolls-Royce did not notice, and continue to offer customers “Buckingham Palace on wheels”. In addition, the representative of the Aston Martin criticized the conservatism of the Rolls-Royce — he didn’t like what they are offering only cars with twelve-cylinder engine.
The head of Rolls-Royce Torsten müller-Ötvös was not very glad to hear such criticism: he simply refused to see Aston Martin in the number of competitors stated that “his company and Aston Martin are in different “weight categories”. Müller-Ötvös believes that Aston Martin will never achieve the results of Rolls-Royce due to the fact that the opponents just don’t know what to offer the buyer — “I have a very vague idea of what to look for in a luxury British car.”
Reichman said the following — “we need to keep up with the times and offer customers the luxury electric vehicles.” So Aston Martin decided to revive the brand Lagonda, which will deal only with electric vehicles. The concept car Lagonda Vision, and became the indicator of what to look for the entire line.
The head of Rolls-Royce sceptical about electric vehicles his company will release an electric car only when will be created and related infrastructure. Otherwise it will cause inconvenience to the customer that “contrary to the philosophy of Rolls-Royce.”
