Ukrainian specialist Evgeny Murzin resigned from the post of chief coach of the national team.
At today’s Executive Committee of the FBU Murzin during a progress report, resigned. The Bureau of the FBI made this decision.
Portal “Sport.ua” reports that with the new coach of the national team of Ukraine FBU will be determined before June 1, 2019.
According to the President of FBU Michael Brodsky, in the list of candidates for the post of chief coach of the national team of Ukraine consists of three specialists, who currently lead the super League clubs.
The new head coach of the national team of Ukraine can become Vitaly Cherniy (MBK “Nikolaev”), Denis Zhuravlev (Dnipro) or Vitaly Stepanovski (“Chemist”). It is also possible the option of inviting a foreign coach.
Yevgeny Murzin was the head of the national team of Ukraine from June 2015. Under the guidance of chief coach of “Kiev-Basket” “blue-yellow” failed Eurobasket 2015 (22nd place, 1 win in 5 matches) and at Eurobasket 2017, made it to 1/8 final.
In qualifying for the world Cup 2019 national team of Ukraine headed by Murzin in 12 games, won 5 games and failed to qualify in the main round of the tournament.
