MPs propose bill to cryptocurrency

The Parliament submitted the bill on cryptocurrency.

People’s deputies of Ukraine Irina Efremova, Lyudmila Denisov, Igor Kotvitsky, Svetlana wojciechowska (people’s front) and John Rybak (party Bloc Petro Poroshenko) has submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law on circulation of cryptocurrency in Ukraine.

This is stated in bill No. 7183, registered in the Parliament on 6 October.

The text of the bill at the moment on the Parliament website. The document was sent for consideration to the relevant committees of Parliament.

Recall that the Verkhovna Rada Committee on financial policy and banking started to develop a draft law on regulation of circulation of cryptocurrency in Ukraine.

At the same time, informed Deputy head of the NBU Oleg Chury said that the controller could not recognize the cryptocurrency currency and warned about the risks of fraud.

Note that in April, Japan has given bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies status of means of payment. South Korea also intends to legalize cryptocurrency. In addition, India has announced plans to regulate cryptocurrency.
