The people’s Deputy from Blok Petro Poroshenko Alexander Briginets considers that Verkhovna Rada failed to recognize the occupation of Donbass for more than three years of conflict for several reasons.
“First, it is the pressure of the allies who were expecting some positive changes. Second, we need to hold elections. If recognized occupation, imposed martial law, we would be left without a President and with the old Parliament. And the third reason – in the old Parliament there were too many former “regionals”. They would not have missed such a bill,” – said Briginets.
According to him, other political players doubt.
“Well, let’s be honest: the position of the democratic forces regarding such a step then, too, was not unique. As for the current Outlook, I think the adoption of this bill in one form or another will happen,” summed up the MP.
