This is a special region.
I want to tell you about Tusheti – mountain region of Georgia, which I visited in late August.
Tusheti for me now a place in which you want to return many more times. In which I would like to spend the summer.
In Tusheti can be reached only in the summer and in September. The rest of the region closed, the roads are just not there. In the winter, for example in Omalo is a center of Tusheti, there is still 7 families, and only the old people that used to live.
Imagine only 8 months you can’t buy anything, to go anywhere, see anyone, can’t go to the hospital for example…
Tusheti is bordered by Dagestan and Chechnya.
Distance from Kakheti only 70 kilometers, but no! Narrow road with incredible views, cliffs, clean and fast rivers, waterfalls! Time – about 4-5 hours. Definitely need to go only with a very experienced driver, who knows where there may be rock falls, dangerous areas and so on.
In Tusheti there is no electricity, no gas! But there are solar panels and generators. Hot water at the time, the dryer can not be enabled. Not, you need to buy in guest houses. Needed is 15 items maximum. In short, if you value the benefits of civilization, you are definitely not in Tusheti.
If you are an important primitive in nature, and I want to open the soul, widely open eyes and to feel the real life, then you are in the Tusheti.
Tusheti is a very tiny little village with houses of stone, with nature, where no foot of man. It’s endless mountains and the types that you just want to sit, watch and ask someone upstairs to stop time. It’s the forest where all want to stay and live.
Last night we went to eat to the same family, their home in the village, on like Wallpaper. They fed us delicious, made a fire. So we did a big company, where were men, women and children.
Above us the sky, generously studded with billions of bright stars of different sizes. For the first time in my stay in Georgia I was glad that I do not know Georgian. I don’t understand what everyone is saying and I was fine. I just sat and enjoyed the moment. Thought – children are the happiest children on the planet.
She wanted their children this summer.
I sincerely wish many people to visit Tusheti in the coming years. Why? Because tourism is developed, time does not stand still (I can Svaneti, too) and it gives such regions of other colors, are not always those that blend harmoniously into the natural picture.
Did not want to leave. I wanted to stop and sit at the cliff. To watch. To breathe. Love. To live. To live in the moment and with nature. The way God designed man.
In Tusheti, we simultaneously thought about what my birthday I want to spend there. This is the last time this year when you can drive to Tusheti. And this beloved autumn.
