Reigning world champion Marc Marquez in Sachsenring scored the second win of the season.
Marquez at the start of the race he defended the lead, but soon gave way to Jonas Folger. German long pleased home fans – Folger gave the first position to the Marques that no longer allowed local racer to get to the top.
The company Marquez and Folger on the podium of the Grand Prix of Germany amounted to Dani Pedrosa. In the battle for fourth place Maverick Vinales in a matter of moments ahead of his teammate Valentino Rossi.

Thanks to the triumph in Germany Marc Marquez became the new leader of the championship (129 points). The Spaniard five points ahead of Maverick Viñales, followed by Andrea Dovizioso (123) and Valentino Rossi (119).
