Due to large ice jam on the territory of Slovakia there was a threat of flooding the Ukrainian Uzhgorod and Storozhnitsy.

In RSA reported that the ice on the river, which passes through the Carpathians, stalled in the territory of neighbouring Slovakia. As at 15:00 on Sunday (5.02) formed a big pile of ice blocks with a total length of 5 kilometers.
“The congestion starts near the villages of Lekarovce, Vinkovci and Light of the Košice region (Slovakia) and ends near the village of Storozhnytsya in Uzhgorod district. If Slovakia does not take urgent measures to unblock the ice, the water in the Already rapidly rise and may flood part Storozhnitsy and Uzhgorod,” – said Moskal.
The state emergency service says flooding 385 ha of agricultural land and 4.3 ha of farmlands due to the floods in the Vinogradovsky district, Transcarpathian region. This is stated in the message of Antimonopoly.
It is reported that ood water poured roadway in the village of Shalanky.
The length of the inundated area is 1 km away.
Units of the SES and local utilities carry out work on drainage.
In particular, as of 11:00 on 5 February had pumped out water from basements of flooded homes and buildings in Tyachiv, Rakhiv, Irshava and Mukachevo areas.
