This month fans of bloody games fighting games great holiday marks the 25th anniversary of the release of the very first part of the cult series Mortal Kombat.
Don’t know about you, but my acquaintance with Sub-zero, Scorpion and the company began in 1990. I Remember how my friends and after school ran to the nearest store, in the building which was in a separate room, where it was possible for the coin for some time to play consoles such as the Sega Mega Drive in the first, second or third parts. In those years, the graphics were incredibly realistic, the fighters looked like real people, and the VoiceOver – the voice! – utters the sacramental phrases and words like “fatality” or “finish him”, added the game even more than whist, and incredibly cool at the time of the bloody scenes of finishing moves.
Subsequently, it was released a few parts of the game, but the creators have tried to enter as beyond the genre of fighting game (e.g. Mortal Kombat Special Forces 2000) and beyond own MK universe (Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe 2008 issue). The former glory of the franchise returned to Mortal Kombat 2011 and Mortal Kombat X 2015, which brought the bloody fighting, brutality and style inherent in the first parts, but still added as bonus fighters, a number of iconic characters like Freddy Krueger or the xenomorph from Alien.
On the occasion of the jubilee in the Internet appeared the video, which shows a comparison of fatalities from the first parts, and Mortal Kombat X.
Plus Twitter developers, headed by ed boon of NetherRealm studios has published a video in which one remembers the success of the game, and how they created the famous fighting game:
