Money is God. Sleep. Consume. The movie John carpenter’s “They Live” in our time (VIDEO)

Remember a few months ago, Director John carpenter had angrily reject the suspicion that his film “Aliens among us” (a.k.a. “They are alive”, They Live) is a movie about the conspiracy of the Zionists?.. Honorary Director, then, more than clearly stated that his film was laid on a completely different premise, namely the criticism of the consumer society.

This means that the “Aliens among us” ideologically much closer to the Communists and socialists than those who are accustomed to all the troubles to blame the Jews. So I’m not surprised that YouTube was the found channel of a Montenegrin Flea Market Socialist in the description which simply said: “Communism is a direction, not a goal”. On this channel there are a number of rollers, made in the style of carpenteresque classics!

For those of you not familiar with the film itself, recall the synopsis:

Once a simple construction worker Nada, who is not very lucky in life, finds an unusual pair of sunglasses. Wearing them, he gets the opportunity to see the world for what it is. Real scary! It turns out that the government and the media bombard people hidden messages, acting on a subconscious level: “Sleep!”, “Do not let your imagination”, “Obey the authorities”. What’s even scarier, Nada saw the true colors of many politicians and important members of society! They are not people at all, but ugly and evil aliens from the planet Andromeda. Their mission on Earth — to conduct a massive campaign to earthlings obedience to his will and to keep people in the dark… Nada needs to find people who, like him, know about the true state of things (who else could make these wonderful glasses?), and join their resistance movement to fight!

So, here’s a ready metaphor in the world of capitalism, advertising and the media controls the masses, forcing people to spend money, buying what we don’t need, and to live as we really do not want to live. But we were given brains and the ability to critical thinking (okay, not everyone, but some, fortunately, in particular) as a kind of “magic glasses” with which we can understand how shit we are trying to feed.

In Montenegrin cool to like “glasses” there, so he did a series of commercials that played up the idea of the movie “Aliens among us” in quite a modern and up to date video. Clip from “Pepsi” is perhaps the best. Although other videos are also of interest.
