Moldova refused the Russian delegation to the crossing of the air border.
Moldova rejected a Russian government delegation at the intersection of the country’s airspace and landing at the airports in Chisinau and Tiraspol.
This is reported by sources in the government of the country.
“The competent authorities in Moldova are forced to refuse the right to cross its airspace and landing aircraft for the air forces of Russia in connection with the lack of necessary conditions for this purpose, in particular, the absence of a mechanism for monitoring flight activity associated with the use of the airport in Tiraspol,” – said in the message.
It is noted that this Russian side was informed repeatedly. At the head of the delegation was Vice-Premier of Russia Dmitry Rogozin, however, in the official appeal of the Moldovan side it’s not listed.
It is reported that the visit was planned to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the signing of the agreement “On principles for a peaceful settlement of the armed conflict in the Transnistrian region of Moldova”.
