Sunday, August 27, Moldova celebrates the independence Day.
As reported in the press service of the Moldovan government, celebrations will begin on Sunday morning by laying flowers at the monument to Moldovan ruler Stefan cel Mare and the monument to the heroes who fell in the struggle for the sovereignty and independence of the country in the Memorial complex “Eternity”.
In honor of independence Day on the Great National Assembly square in Chisinau will be held a meeting at which an appeal to the citizens will perform the Prime-Minister of Moldova Pavel Filip.
In the center of Chisinau will be held a festive concert will be a parade of national costume, which will be attended by the representatives of all ethnic groups living on the territory of Moldova.
Festive events will be held in all settlements of the country.
The Republic of Moldova proclaimed its independence on 27 August 1991.
