The new crossover will be offered with two types of engines and transmissions.
Mitsubishi has unveiled its new compact crossover. The car has received the name of Eclipse Cross and will be unveiled at the Geneva motor show on March 7. European sales of cars will begin in autumn, the press service of the Japanese company.
The vehicle length is 4405 mm, width — 1805 millimeters. The wheelbase is 2670 millimeters. Thus the new model was larger than the ASX crossover, but more compact Outlander.
Crossover kupeobrazny kept the style of the concept the Mitsubishi XR-PHEV 2013. Over the exterior of the new model worked designer Tsunehiro, Kunimoto, who had previously been busy at Nissan and participated in the development of the Juke crossover.
The car is equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with direct injection and turbocharging. The motor works in tandem with the CVT. Dynamic performance of the new Eclipse Cross is not yet known.
Also customers will be offered a 2.2-liter gasoline engine paired with 8-speed automatic transmission. Eclipse Cross is equipped with electronically controlled AWD system.
