The situation with water supply in Donetsk region remains critical.
It is reported by the Ministry of the temporarily occupied territories.
It noted that since February of 2017 because of the constant attacks by uncontrolled by Ukraine territories of South-Donbas water supply works in extremely difficult conditions.
Now is only one of the two branches of the aqueduct. The water in this branch served an estimated loss of 1000 cubic meters per hour, according to KP “Water of Donbass”.
This allows to provide the basic needs of the region in technical and drinking water, but there is always the threat of new attacks. As added in the Ministry, as of 18:00 on 24 June, the situation remains unchanged.
“The biggest problem today Ukrainian specialists are unable to perform repair work in the buffer zone and on the line of contact. Ukraine asked the Russian side to provide access to the water and allow the execution of repair work. The Russian side of the General center for control and coordination of questions of ceasefire and stabilization of the demarcation line does not give any guarantees,” – said the press service.
