The Syrian militants found night vision devices with the latest electronics from Russia.
Military experts of the Russian Federation found that the snipers of terrorist groups “Islamic state” and “Dzhebhat EN-Nusra” used night vision scopes with electronics, produced at Russian enterprises.
It is noted that the intelligence personnel and Russian military experts began to study the weapons of the fighters from the first days of Russia’s participation in the Syrian conflict to find out how the weapons from dozens of countries is in the hands of terrorists. While some attention was paid to sniper rifles.
Dismantling the weapons to the militants, they found in the night vision of Russian electronics.
“We found so-called electron-optical converters (EOC), produced at Russian enterprises”, − informed a source.
According to one version, the TUBE could enter Syria via third countries to which night vision sights or parts for them from Russia officially delivered.
Experts have established that the militants are also using the rifle, the armament of the armies of NATO countries, including the us Remington MSR or the Austrian Steyr Mannlicher SSG 08.
However, they noted that together they should be used and most modern scopes, which are currently produced in Russia and the United States. In the United States the export of night vision scopes third generation outside the country is strictly prohibited, as in the Russian Federation.
According to interlocutors of the newspaper, in fact finds in Syria the criminal case has not yet opened − in the framework of the preliminary investigation carried out operational activities.
