Microsoft is working on a new design for Windows 10, codenamed Project NEON.
Now preparing for the big redesign of the popular operating system. It will be aimed at increasing the role of augmented reality.
This innovation, called Project NEON and probably will become part of the Redstone update 3, which will be released in the fall of 2017. The participants of the Windows Insider program will get it in April-may next year.
Project NEON developed over years. It is based on the design language introduced in Windows 10, with its simple interfaces, but adds some features to the UI, making it less static. It is expected that the novelty should bring able to make the application elements outside their Windows.
Also in the interface will apply the textures, 3D models and techniques with lighting. As assure sources, NEON will serve as a “link between the holographic and augmented realities”.
