LinkedIn plans to integrate into Microsoft products.
Microsoft Corp. completed the acquisition of the professional social network LinkedIn priced at $26.2 billion.
Microsoft announced the purchase of LinkedIn in June of 2016. Earlier this week the company received the last necessary regulatory permission from the Commission.
Purchase LinkedIn brings together “leading global company in the field of cloud technologies and a leading global network of professionals to provide a more interconnected, efficient, and reasonable processes for our clients,” wrote chief Executive officer of Microsoft Sathya Nadella in a blog post.
LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner, who will remain at the head of the company noted that the deal with Microsoft “will accelerate our mission of connecting professionals around the world.”
Nadella announced plans to integrate LinkedIn into Microsoft products. Among them – the LinkedIn integration with Microsoft Outlook and Office, as well as, the ability to create drafts resume in Word to update the profile.
LinkedIn provides recruitment services, and this service provides most of the revenue, which amounted to for the year 2015 nearly $3 billion At the same time, the company remains unprofitable.
