The world’s largest software maker Microsoft Corp. plans to announce a large-scale business reorganization on July 5.
It is reported by the American edition of Puget Sound Business Journal.
It is noted that the adjustment is intended largely to refocus the business on Microsoft cloud technologies.
Microsoft focused on the development of a cloud-based service Azure, which competes with a division of Amazon.com – Amazon Web Services, the world’s largest provider of cloud services, writes MarketWatch.
Revenue Cloud Intelligent (“smart cloud”), which includes cloud service Azure and the business to produce software for servers in the third fiscal quarter (January-March 2017) rose 11% to $6,76 billion of Azure soared to 93%.
Microsoft shares during trading on Friday rose 0.5%.
