We are talking in particular about the situation in the context of European security.
In the election program of the party Christian democratic Union (CDU) of Chancellor Angela Merkel and the Bavarian Christian social Union (CSU) under the guidance of Horst Seehofer mentioned the issue of conflict in Ukraine. We are talking in particular about the situation in the context of European security.
Currently, the “territorial integrity of Ukraine called into question because of the Russian aggression”, – stated in the election program of the CDU/CSU in the section where we are talking about Europe and security.
The Christian Democrats said that “Europeans should consistently than before to take their destiny in their own hands.” Political power stated the importance of “Europe that is able to protect its interests and to assume international responsibility (…) which, if necessary, can also together to defend themselves.”
“We need to become aware of our strategic responsibility for freedom and peace and help in resolving conflicts close to us. Therefore, the EU involved to resolve the conflict between Russia and Ukraine”, – noted in the program of the CDU/CSU and urged Russia to implement the Minsk agreements.
