Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe of the new generation will debut at the motor show in Detroit.
Mercedes-Benz has officially unveiled the E-Class coupe of the new generation, which has become “more luxurious and smarter” than its predecessor. Public premiere for the first time will be held in January 2017 at the Detroit auto show.
The coupe took the place in the line of “Mercedes” between the two-door versions of models C-Class and S-Class, which is a novelty borrowed some stylistic decisions.
Overall length E-Class Coupe amounted to 4826 mm, width — 1860 millimeters, height — 1430 millimeters. This is 123, 74 and 32 mm more than its predecessor, respectively. The wheelbase increased by 113 millimeters — to 2873 mm.
The interior is borrowed from the sedan E-Class. For the top-end variants available in two 12.3-inch displays, one of which — the digital dashboard, and another screen infotainment complex. In addition, the proposed function led interior lights with a choice of one of 64 different options.
A list of available equipment includes adaptive cruise control, operating at speeds of up to 210 kilometers per hour, the system automatic Parking with remote control via smartphones, and “smart” Multibeam headlights with 84 LED elements.
After the launch in the European market engine lineup will include two-liter petrol “turboservice” capacity of 184 (version E200) and 254 horsepower (E300), and 194-horsepower diesel engine a working volume of two liters (E220d). In addition, the novelty will be offered with three-liter twin-turbo V6 unit with a capacity of 333 horsepower (E400 4 Matic).
All engines are combined with a nine-automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is available only for the top-end variant with a six-cylinder engine.
In the future, the novelty will be a version E50 AMG Coupe 4Matic, equipped with 407-horsepower six with the turbine electric drive.
European and North American sales of Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe will start in the summer of 2017.
