Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev decided to check the quality of the trails.
Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev said that the regulatory state meet only 40 percent of regional roads.
“If we have more than 70 percent of Federal highways managed to bring it up to standard — it is a movement that emerged in the last years, for regional roads the situation is much worse. Only about 40 percent correspond to the operational requirements,” he said, stressing that the situation with roads in the country and, in particular, in the Omsk region far from ideal.
In December 2016, it was reported that the verification of the accounting chamber revealed a discrepancy of 62% of the roads of the country’s existing regulatory requirements. Thus, according to the auditors, the regional road funds are used only 60-80 percent.
In August of the same year the Minister of transport of Russia Maxim Sokolov said that the cost of maintaining a kilometer of the Russian roads costs the authorities to 4.5 million rubles a year.
