Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev commented on the deprivation of the former President of Georgia, former Governor of the Odessa region Mikhail Saakashvili Ukrainian citizenship, calling the situation “a fantastic tragicomedy”.
The head of the Russian government wrote on his page in Facebook.
“The strange fate of Saakashvili, the Georgian citizen, the President of Georgia, a person deprived of citizenship of Georgia a citizen of Ukraine, each Ukrainian President, the Governor of Odessa region, persons deprived of citizenship of Ukraine. Strange sequence the Ukrainian authorities to take the former President of Georgia, citizenship of Ukraine to make him a Governor, to revoke the citizenship of Ukraine and to agree to his extradition to Georgia. All this is the indisputable evidence of the high moral qualities of the two people who played this fantastic tragicomedy. The Sho w must go on “, – Medvedev wrote.
As we wrote earlier, the Ministry for foreign Affairs summoned the Russian Ambassador.
