Family doctors do not agree to sign contracts – no indication from the Ministry of health has not received
Since the first of July was to make a new scheme providing primary health care. According to the updated rules citizens must choose their family doctor and to sign a contract with him, and the state – to transfer funds for services.
Anatoly Raiko, a family physician with experience more than 30 years, working with patients to contract the doctor is not against it, but still do not understand how it will look in practice.
“We are at some crossroads, kind of ready, but due to the fact that there is still a declarative documents and the law, we are still in limbo,” said he.
It would seem that everything is simple: come to the family doctor, agree what services it will provide and where. Any money the patient pays. For him, the state transfers the doctor 210 hryvnia. However, family doctors are not agree to sign contracts – no indication from the Ministry of health not received.
The Ministry of health put the blame on Parliament. “The work that was on us, the Ministry of health to the Cabinet, we did. We are ready, but the last chord for this to work is the change in the law,” – said Deputy health Minister Pavlo Kovtonyuk.
Experts insist that only the changes to the law is not enough. To improve the service in hospitals, you should start with financing.
“Everything is kind of OK, but 210 UAH or 300 UAH is an incident, which should show in the whole world”, – said the President of the Ukrainian Council of protecting the rights and patient safety Victor Serdyuk.
