Zeman ordered one of his guards to “remove” a statement that it was removed.
A long bad relationship between the President of Czech Republic Milos Zeman and journalists was reflected during his visit to the headquarters of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.
This is reported by the Czech media.
According to TV channel ČT24 Newsroom, the offensive Zeman addressed the Czech operator. The incident occurred on Tuesday during the arrival of Zeman in the building of the Council of Europe and was on video.
The footage can be heard, as Zeman says one of his attendants: “Take this statement, or I’ll kill him.”
Press Secretary of the President later said that the reaction Zeman was quite adequate, because the operator “was trying to stop the President on his way”. According to him, “the operator had enough time to see how the President is suffering from neuropathy”.
