It became known that on may 29 will be held an unscheduled visit to France of Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which held his personal acquaintance with the President of France Emmanuel Macron.
This writes Kommersant, citing informed sources in Paris and Moscow.
It is noted that the reason for the visit will be the opening at Versailles, the residence of French kings – the exhibition dedicated to Peter I.
“It is hard to imagine that Mr. Putin would have gone into France, without the approval of that meet and greet with the new President,” said the source.
The exhibition in Versailles is dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the visit to France of the Russian Tsar and the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations.
