E. Konstantinov died may 3, saving a fellow officer – a military adviser, whose name was not reported. The captain received six bullet wounds.
He was buried on 7 may in Novosibirsk, where his parents live, and posthumously presented to the Courage award. The Ministry of defence of the Russian Federation about the death of E. Konstantinova has not officially announced.
According to official data of the Russian defense Ministry, since the beginning of operations in Syria killed more than 30 soldiers from the armed forces.
